How to use
How to Use a 90-Day Alcohol-Free Planner Without Chasing a Perfect Streak
A 90-day planner works when it stays usable on ordinary days. The goal is not a perfect streak. The goal is to keep returning to the next page.
Direct answer
Treat each day as its own unit: morning intention, light hourly notes, evening review. Once a week, do a short check-in. If you miss a day, start the next one without catching up. The practice is the return, not the unbroken line.
Daily flow
- Morning (2–5 minutes) — Fill the top band and the morning prompts. Set one intention. Note any situation that might test it.
- During the day — Keep the hourly column open. A few words per block is enough. It is a record, not an essay.
- Evening (3–7 minutes) — Close with the evening prompts and the check-ins (energy, mood, urge, sleep). Then stop.
Weekly check-in
Once a week, spend 10–15 minutes looking back:
- Which days felt easier? Which felt harder?
- What patterns showed up around urge or energy?
- What is one small adjustment for the coming week?
- Do any of the six method steps need attention right now?
When you miss a day
Skip the urge to fill every blank page. Open the current day and begin there. The streak is not the product. The product is the habit of returning.
